Just a few notes on Egil, since he's around.
- His voice is deep, and his accent and voice alike are pretty harsh. He sounds like someone who is used to having to shout to be heard.
- His accent puts his orgin as fairly far north. If you know about travel, you'd likely guess that he had to sail for some time and to change boats at least once to reach Solheimer.
- The palms of his hands look very rough, but his fingernails are fastidiously trimmed and quite clean.
- You have to get pretty close to him to tell that what he wears, though of good quality, has been mended more than once.
- If you have seen him faced with writing and were paying attention to his response to it (say, at the Census Office), you might suspect that he either cannot or will not read.
- He's a bit of a bastard. (This likely has been noticed already.)
