When Fianna entered this world it was a dark time - with light races breaking through the mists, and encroaching on the lands of man. Her mother, Caitlyn, had had a difficult pregnancy - so it was no surprise to the village midwives that she did not survive long after the birth.
Her father, Lughaidh was one of the finest metalsmiths in all of Eire. Because of his talents and the state of the land her father was very busy during her youth. Lughaidh entrusted her education to the clan priestests who worship the triple aspect of Badb, Macha and the Morrígan and they marked her for the goddess.
In her fifteenth year, When the war began to escalate, the High King of Eire called forth all men to the battlefront, Lughaidh skills were much needed there. Fearing for her safety, her father sent her across the seas to live high in the Mountains of Niðavellir, with the dwarvish family of his friend and business partner Brand Fornberg.
Brand and his wife Brikt taught Fianna their way of life as metalsmiths, merchants, and traders. Fianna had watched her father making swords and armor for many years but had never had much interest in it. It became evident over time, that her skill in metal working was in her attention to details and artistic talents. Her small hands enabled her to do things that the fat clumsy hands of the dwarves could not. Brand quickly put her to work detailing swords armor and creating fine decorative ornanments and jewelry.
Three years later, When news of the wars end came with no word from her father, they knew that he had fallen. Although her foster parents and the dwarvish community cared for her well, Niðavellir had never felt like a true home to Fianna. Brand, seeing this, began to train Fianna in the world of trade and commerce, taking him with her to visit foriegn lands buying and selling metals, precious gems, jewellery and textiles.
Eventually, Fianna left her drarvish fosters, and set out on her own to make a life for herself. It was about this time, during a trade expidetion, that the young, strong, tattooed celt, with skin fair as snow and her mothers long dark hair, happened on the land of Solheimer.
Although only a traveller in this place, Fianna immediately felt a connection to the people - who were previously displaced (not unlike herself) - and hopes that she can make a home there.
